Born and raised in the Cariboo, Beatrix has been a maker all her life.  As a child starting with pottery and painting… Later taking felting, bookbinding, and paper making classes at the Mountain School of the Arts.  Beatrix travelled to Whidbey Island for watercolour classes, and fibre arts at the Pacific Northwest School of the Arts.

Beatrix is a self taught artist in soap and candle making, cards, improvisational hand stitching, and surface design.  She not only enjoys taking art classes, but teaching as well.  Beatrix has taught homeschool groups, Elder College, and put together private and group classes.

Beatrix continues to be creative with her original mixed media - enjoying all things paper, fabric, silk, wool, threads, paint with ephemera and found object.
